A guided, scheduled day for school groups: nine stations, staggered arrivals and assigned lunch barns. The official schedule, rates and farm map are below.

How it works

A whole-class rotation, on the clock

Each school is assigned a column on the schedule and moves through all nine stations on a 20-minute rotation, with a set lunch period in an assigned barn. Staff keep every group on time so nothing overlaps.

Please stay on schedule, take individual restroom breaks as needed, and have lunches brought to your assigned lunch area before the lunch period.

About Crawford Farms

A family farm, a fall tradition

For three generations and more than 80 years, the Crawford family has worked this Central Kentucky land β€” and every fall, they open it up to share it.

Our roots

Eighty years in the family

Crawford Farms has been family-owned for over 80 years and is one of the largest fall-attraction farms in Central Kentucky. The family turned to pumpkins in 1988, and Billy and Shirley Crawford β€” with their children, Teresa and Mason β€” were practicing agri-tourism before the word was in common use.

After patriarch Billy passed away in 2002, the family eventually stepped back from retail, then reopened in 2008 under Mason, Teresa and her husband Marty Lee. Today the farm grows more than 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, with hay sculptures, a rustic setting and a Barnyard Marketplace bigger than ever.

Our story

From a working farm to a fall tradition

Family-owned for over 80 years and three generations strong β€” here's how Crawford Farms became one of Central Kentucky's great fall traditions.

Family-owned for over 80 years, Crawford Farms is one of the largest fall-attraction farms in Central Kentucky. Whether your idea of a good day is petting gentle farm animals, strolling a scenic nature trail, climbing a colossal hay mound, finding your way through a corn maze, or simply picking the perfect pumpkin, there's something here for everyone.

The farm diversified into pumpkin production in 1988, and the scope and variety of pumpkins, squash and gourds has expanded year after year ever since. Billy and Shirley Crawford β€” along with their children, Teresa and Mason β€” embraced the idea of agri-tourism even before the term came into regular use.

A three-generation operation, Crawford Farms hosted field trips for students from school districts across the area and supplied pumpkins to wholesalers and retailers as well as directly to the public. In 2002, patriarch Billy Crawford passed away after a battle with cancer. The family pressed on through that season, and the following year made the difficult decision to close the retail side of the business.

In 2008, Mason, Teresa and her husband Marty Lee reopened Crawford Pumpkin Farm, and it has grown steadily ever since to once again offer the greatest diversity of produce and fall family attractions in Central Kentucky. With a wide variety of hay sculptures and a rustic atmosphere, the farm makes an ideal backdrop for photos that capture the season. The Barnyard Marketplace is larger than ever, with samplings from the more than 50 varieties of locally grown pumpkins, squash and gourds.

Special touches β€” barrel train rides for the kids, hayrides for all, and affordable concessions β€” make Crawford Farms an all-inclusive fall destination. Take advantage of the season pass for repeat visits, along with group rates and party packages that offer real savings.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most, with quick answers.

What's included with general admission?
Nearly everything on the farm β€” the hayride, all the corn mazes, slides, the petting zoo, play areas and photo stops. Pumpkins from the patch and the Pedal Cart Course are the main extras priced separately.
Do you offer field trips, and how do they work?
Yes. School groups get a guided, scheduled day rotating through nine stations with assigned lunch barns and a chosen arrival window between 8:00 and 10:00 am. See the field trips page for the full schedule, map and rates.
What should we wear and bring?
Closed-toe shoes you don't mind getting dusty, layers for changing fall weather, and water. The farm is mostly grass and dirt paths, so leave the nice shoes at home.
Are strollers and wheelchairs okay?
The main paths are stroller- and wheelchair-friendly, though some attractions sit on uneven ground. Reach out if you'd like to plan a route ahead of your visit.
What happens if it rains?
The farm runs rain or shine for light weather. For severe conditions we'll post updates and work with you on rescheduling β€” replace this with your actual rain policy.
Can we bring our own food?
Picnic lunches are welcome at the picnic area and lunch barns. For field trips, please have lunches brought to your assigned lunch area before the lunch period. The Barnyard Marketplace also has treats on site.
Do you allow pets?
For the comfort and safety of our animals and guests, only service animals are permitted on the farm.
How do we book a party or large group?
Head to Parties & Events to see packages, then send an inquiry with your group size and date and we'll take it from there.
What forms of payment do you take?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus Apple Pay β€” as well as personal checks and cash.

Still have a question?

We're happy to help you plan the perfect day on the farm.
